Catalan Media is already buzzing with the rumors of linking Lautaro Martinez with the Blaugrana, and now reports are suggesting that deal is really close to completion. Reports are indicating towards a cash plus players deal as it would suit both the parties negotiating due the economic losses incurred after football stopped with the spread of COVID-19. 

Martinez may soon line-up with Messi at Camp nou.

Reports by Diario Sport suggests that Barcelona are considering the option of paying €60 million cash in addition to two players to Inter Milan to seal the Lautaro Martinez transfer. The two players in question are not yet known but are rumored to be anyone among the likes of Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Carles Alena and Nelson Semedo.

Also according to the latest from Mundo Deportivo (via Calciomercato.com), Rafinha’s agent has proposed his client to Milan ahead of what could be a summer revolution in midfield for the Rossoneri.

Martinez  has scored 16 times in 31 appearances for Nerazzurris including a goal at the Camp Nou stunning the home crowd, and he himself is said to be thrilled by the prospect of joining his national captain Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

But there is a conflict among the fans and Board members regarding whom to sign between Neymar or Martinez due to less spending strength in this upcoming summer window, or invest in other areas like Wing-backs and center backs where Barca are surely thin of quality and personnel. Signing Neymar will surely boost Barca at wings and make their talisman Messi happier, but that doesn’t hide the fact that Barca are in dire need for a quality striker or a poacher because tho Suarez his still doing a decent job in Spain,his stats in last 3 Champions league campaigns are disenchanting with return of  just 5 goals and 13 assists across the previous three seasons.Also Neymar is already past 28 and nobody doubts his capabilities but it is more sensible to invest in a 22 year emerging talent instead of proven world class winger who is both ageing and injury-prone.

Lautaro Martinez no doubt will be a huge boost for Barcelona in their conquest of Europe after failing miserably in previous editions, but various reports have also been emerged that their eternal rivals Los Blancos are also interested in bring Martinez to Bernabeu. Some reports from EVERYTHING BARCA also go as far as stating that Real Madrid already have a pre-contract with him since last summer, but this obviously seems to far-stretched. So as the things stand it seems time is ticking for the Blaugrana especially in these tough and cash strapped times. This may also prove to be tipping point in the current waging storm in the board rooms of the Catalan club.
